Block 1) Introduction - characterization of water-soluble salts, possibilities of origin and sources, basic properties Block 2) Characteristics of mechanisms of decay caused by water-soluble salts on porous inorganic materials - crystallization and hydration of water-soluble salts, equilibrium moisture and hygroscopic properties of salts Block 3) Decay forms caused by water-soluble salts - a description of the major damages caused Block 4) Possibilities of identification and determination of water-soluble salts type/content - methods of sampling, survey of methods qualitative and quantitative analysis of materials containing water-soluble salts Block 5) Possibilities of limiting the negative influence of water-soluble salts - overview and basic description of the main methods of reducing decay caused by water-soluble salts
