Introduction, mind maps. Text functions and text types. Non-fiction and literary texts. Contents data and text interpretation. Stylistic exercises. Quotations and types of quotations.

Learning outcomes
|
Students will acquire theoretical knowledge from the area of stylistics and work with primary and secondary sources. Students should acquire practical skills required for the application of the facts in writing, mainly in academic writing. Theoretical texts and practical examples will be used. The choice of vocabulary, stylistic means, organisation of the text, interpretation, definition, problematics of quotations and bibliography will be covered.
Students will gain practical skills for application of their knowledge from the area of wording and with work with primary and secondary sources in written form, academic writing, above all. They will learn how to choose verbal means, will know how to interpret, define, quote and handle bibliography.

Home assignment evaluation
Written tasks, linguistic and content accuracy (short contents, interpretation and protocol). 70% attendance.
