Course content
Position and fiction e-communication as infrastructure's branch with socioeconomic context. Policy in branch of e-communications - information policy. Legislation a regulation scope in CR a ES for branch of e-communication ČTU. Universal service. Price policy, method of regulation prices. Market of e-communication services - dominant operators. Influencing factors for quality e-communication services. Calculation (allocation costs) in condition of share networks. Normalization and standardization in e-communications. Statistical survey OKEČ 64.2. Personal data securities and privacy in offer e-communications. Time allowance, Summarize.

Learning outcomes
The aim is to inform students about the position and the role of electronic communication as an infrastructure branch in the national economy, with the differences to material production (e.g. it is not possible to store services), with specific sectoral legislation, both national, and within the EU. Further with the problems of regulation in this branch, with mission of "universal service" and critical resources.
The student should get knowledge about provided services of electronic communications, both through firm network, and network of mobile operators, network of broadcasting and telecasting, cable TV, internet connection etc.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of basic problems in macroeconomics and microeconomics is assumed.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Written examination

In the course of the term and at the final examination the student must prove knowledge of characteristic economic relations of network branch, problems of critical resources, conditions of higher state interventions (regulation) and branch liberalization process.
