Course content
Rhetoric as a pedagogical branch and its historical development. Breathing and voice technique. Voice failures, voice hygiene. Articulatory technique, literary pronunciation, pronunciation mistakes Voice modulation of speech display, sentence stress, intonation. Word-stock, neologism, archaism, univerbisms, synonyms, paronyms, alien words. Sentence structure pronouncements, using language instruments for increasing speech effectiveness. Sorts of the pronouncements. Paper, lecture, discussion piece. Interview, press conference, TV appearance. Prepare and recital of speech, the danger of phrases. Nonverbal communication, types of nonverbal signals, types of nonverbal communication. Dysfunctions in the interpersonal communication, healthy communication. Development of manager's speaking skills. Stage-fright and the ways how to overcome it.

Learning outcomes
To familiarise the students with the basic of rhetoric, learn them to use this knowledge in the speech. to learn students how to act by the preparation of single speech kinds and how to handle their effective recital. to create by them the skill use the knowledge about the nonverbal communication and overcome stage-fright.
After passing this subject, the student knows breathing, articulatory and voice techniques, he is able to use voice modulation and the sentence structure for increasing speech effectiveness, he manages prepare and speech of single kinds of speaking displays. He is able to use speaking skills and develop them in the future.
Prerequisites
The education is independent on the other subjects.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination

The student must prove by the exam, that he/she understands solved problems and the knowledge within the taught topics. The tutor will notify the concrete requirements to the students within the first week of the term.
