Course content
1. Basic characteristics of quality management. 2. Concept of quality management. 3. Management of the enterprise in quality management systems. 4. Quality management tools. 5. Quality planning. 6. Quality management of transport and logistics services. 7. Environmental aspects of quality management. 8. The role of the public sector in quality management. 9. Economic aspects of quality management. 10. Quality improvement. 11. Performance evaluation of quality management systems. 12. Human factors in quality systems 13. The customer and his view of product and service quality.

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Methods of individual activities
  • Home preparation for classes - 22 hours per semester

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to provide students with basic information about quality management and other management systems and activities related to quality management of products and services.
By completing the course the student will gain a basic overview and practical knowledge necessary for quality management.

Oral examination, Written examination, Home assignment evaluation, Self project defence

The credit confirms that the student has participated in the full-time form of study to the required extent and that he/she has fulfilled the requirements for which the credit was awarded. The conditions for the award of credit are determined by the lecturer at the beginning of the semester. Active participation in the exercises is required. The course examination is oral, the condition for participation in the examination is obtaining credit. The requirements for the examination are communicated by the lecturer in accordance with the UPa Study and Examination Regulations at the beginning of the semester.
