Course content
1. Introduction to the operation of distribution services 2. Specific aspects of distribution services 3. Legislative framework for distribution services 4. Trends in the development of the distribution services market 5. Delivery of shipments 6. Common shipping conditions and additional services 7. Middle - penultimate mile: logistics distribution systems 8. Location and allocation of distribution centers 9. Handling, operating, and transport equipment 10. Transport and delivery of shipments 11. Characteristics of city logistics 12. Last mile delivery concepts, tools, and measures in city logistics 13. Concepts for integrating passenger and freight transport, crowdshipping

Learning activities and teaching methods

Learning outcomes
To make students acquainted with the principles of the technology proceedings distribution operation. Students get conception about the organization of distribution nets, the principles manipulation of the different remittance in individual stadium of networks, the problems concerning of quality at delivery services, the usage of information technologies in terms of the technology of distribution operation etc.
After passing this subject the student acquires deeper knowledge of the process administration distribition service, the organizational and technological security of the individual stadium distribution network and the legislation aspects of operation.

The student has to prove deeper knowledge of the organization, technological, manager and marketing aspects of the process administration the distribution service and the operation with regard on the valid and related legislation during the term and the final exam. The tutor communicates to students the particular specifications during the first week of the term.
