Sustainable development and sustainable transport. The environmental pillar of sustainable transport. The economic pillar of sustainable transport. The social pillar of sustainable transport. Institutional pillar of sustainable transport. Sustainable transport planning and evaluation. Urban transport and mobility planning tools. Division of transport work and its effects. Demands for transport and its management. Traffic behavior. Participatory processes and their role in transport planning. Application of the principles of sustainable transport - efficient use and planning of transport infrastructure. Application of the principles of sustainable transport - efficient use and development of the territory. Application of the principles of sustainable transport - decision-making and financing. Application of sustainable transport principles - action plans, implementation of proposed measures.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the basic procedures and principles used in the planning, management and monitoring of sustainable transport and teach them to apply these procedures and principles to specific examples.
The student is able to orientate in individual types of transport in terms of sustainable development and sustainable transport.

Prerequisites
|
Prerequisites are basic knowledge of transport and transportation systems.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral examination, Written examination, Home assignment evaluation
The credit confirms that the student of the full-time form of study participated in the required degree of compulsory education and that he met the requirements that were conditional on the granting of credit. The conditions for granting the credit are determined by the teacher. The subject exam (form, content, duration) is determined in accordance with the UP Study and Examination Regulations.
