Course content
|
Science, research, technology - definition and characteristics, relationship. Fundamentals of a scientific work, phases of a creative work, personal qualities. Methods of scientific work, information, resources, rational assessment. Basic principles of the methods. Theoretical methods. Experimental methods, phases of an experiment. Content and structuring of scientific, research and experimental paper and publication. Seminars, colloquium, conferences, speeches. Declaration scientific, dissertation, and habilitation theses. Recommended methodology of preparation procedures and elaboration of a dissertation thesis.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of this course is to introduce PhD students to the fundamentals of science and research work, to teach them how to work creatively and apply their solutions in their profession.
The graduate of this course will gain the knowledge necessary for an independent creative work, including its presentation and publication. The graduate will be able to work individually as well as in a team.

Graduation from Master degree studies.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral examination, Written examination
The course examination (form, content, duration) conforms with the Study and Examination Regulations of the University of Pardubice. The student can only proceed to the examination after being awarded the course credit. The exam consists of a written and an oral part. The students must pass the written exam before proceeding to the oral part.
