Course content
Science, research, technology - definition and characteristics, relationship. Fundamentals of a scientific work, phases of a creative work, personal presumption. Methods of scientific work, information, resources, rational assessment. Basic principles of the methods. Theoretical methods. Experimental methods, phases of an experiment. Content and structuring of scientific, research and experimental paper and publication. Seminars, colloquium, conferences, speeches. Declaration scientific, dissertation, and habilitation work. Recommended methodology of preparation procedures and the elaboration of a dissertation work.

Learning outcomes
The goal of this course is to introduce the fundamentals of science and research work to the doctoral students, to teach them how to work creatively and apply their solutions in their profession.
A graduate of this subject will gain the knowledge for individual creative work regarding its presentation and publication.

Graduation from master's degree studies..

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Written examination

The exam of this course (form, content, duration) is stated conformable with Study And Exam Regulations of UPa. The exam regards of a written and an oral test. Successful graduation of the written part of exam is the presumption for the oral part.
