Learning outcomes
The objective of the course is to acquaint students with up-to-date methods of dependability assurance for road vehicles and with dependability basic principles and selected techniques of dependability engineering for road vehicles and their main parts during development, design, tests and service. The second aim of the course is to explain a place and role of technical diagnostics for vehicle dependability assurance in service and give to students theoretical bases of technical diagnostics and acquaint them with basic methods and means for detection of vehicles technical conditions. The last aim of the course is to explain place and role technical diagnostics in maintenance system and repair of road vehicles.
Having passed the bachelor study program, the student is able to manage road vehicles operation, to run and organize their preventive and corrective maintenance. The student has basic knowledge about diagnostics, technology maintenance and repair road vehicles.
Prerequisites
The student needs to have basic knowledge from field of Tudory probability and mathematical statistics. The student also needs to have basic knowledge from fields of design of road vehicles.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Creative work analysis, Didactic test

During the semester and the final exam students must demonstrate an understanding of problems presented during lectures and must demonstrate the ability to solve problems of maintenance transport means independently on the basis of knowledge of reliability and diagnostics of transport vehicles according to the curriculum. Conditions and requirements of the semester are determined and explained by the lecturer in the first week of the semester.
