Course content
Principle of sustainable development. Resources consumption, connection to transport. Environmental monitoring - methods and environmental indicators. Strategy of environmental protection. Economical tools of environmental care. Quality management in environment protection . Programme of cleaner production - case analysis. Instrumental analysis methods for assessment of environmental parts quality. Method analysis of transport contaminants. Transport and ecological area burden. Requirements of soil and groundwater pollution. Chemical compounds and their impact on environmental parts in relation to structure, concentration and time. Waste - classification, regulation, details of waste treatment. Energy consumption reduction. Noise, sound and vibration in transport - measuring and assessment. Working environment in transport, occupational safety and hygiene, vocational disease. Air protection. Measuring of emission, imission, monitoring. Electronic information sources customs and authors access.

Learning outcomes
Deepen student´s knowledge about the environmental protection and creation (in the focus to transport).
Studying of the course student will obtain detailed knowledge about transport impacts on environment and about its reduction. He has overview about environmental monitoring methods, experimental data evaluation and interpretation of results. He will learn about requirements of soil and underground water pollution and about their decontamination. He is familiar with the regulations for hazard chemicals registration and using, waste properties evaluation and occupational health and safety and another environmental aspects of transport.

The knowledge of the course: The Environment and Transport.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Written examination

It is obligated to present the suitable end term work (semester work). Exam from this course (form, conclusion, duration) is in conformity with Studying and examining rules of University Pardubice. The exam consist form writing and oral part. Successful passing of writing test is necessary condition for oral part. During final exam student has to prove his understanding of topics mentioned above and to prove ability to solve assigned tasks individually. Particular requests will be past to students in the first part of education by tutor.
