Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing)
Learning outcomes
Road traffic safety - a cross-disciplinary problem. Application of systems theory to solution of subsystems: traffic participants, traffic road and transport mean. Analysis of particular subsystems. analyses of dangerous manoeuvres of transport means. Critical situations in road traffic. Collisions, road-traffic accidents. Control of road transportation in relation to safe traffic. Traffic safety forecast from the complex view of transport-safety situation in the state.
After passing the subject, the student is acquainted with latest knowledge in the sphere of road traffic safety and forensic engineering. They shall be allowed to confront their knowledge and skills with practice.
Prerequisites
Knowledge corresponding to passing compulsory subjects in the transport means field. Initiative approach towards acquiring new information. Ability to apply the information and knowledge acquired in the practical activity. To know the basis of presentation skills.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination

In the course of the semester and at the final exam, the student has to demonstrate the knowledge of the topics discussed including analyzing a simple traffic accident. Concrete requirements shall be given to the students by the tutor in the first week of the semester.
