Learning outcomes
DP-SV Orientation: The aim of the subject is broadening of fundamental knowledge of the theory, especially the relationship between vehicle parameters and handling properties and the influence of changes of design parameters on handling properties . Students also acquint themselves with ways and possibilities of the utilization of mathematical simulation for vehicles testing and research of their driving properties. DP-KV Orientation: The decisive theoretical procedures in construction of vehicles. Contact geometry of the wheel-transport route system. Tangential forces in connection and the adhesion mechanism. Stability of the vehicle in a straight section and a vehicle going through a curve. The suspension theory in view of the limit effects on the transport route and assessment of the riding qualities. Optimization and ways of use of traction performance, transfers and drives their kinematics and dynamics. Braking processes and limit conditions.
Ability to analyse the issue related to the motion of vehicle, ability to make use of theoretical knowledge in solving particular cases in the sphere of motion of vehicles. To deduce conclusions for the follow-up procedure of the solution. Elementary knowledge of the scientific approach towards solving the tasks.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of the theory of vehicles at the level of the Master degree study of the given branch. Knowledge and ability to apply mathematic methods and computing procedures in the issue related to the motion of vehicles.

Assessment methods and criteria
