Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Monitoring, Demonstration, Projection
  • Preparation for an exam - 60 hours per semester
  • Home preparation for classes - 65 hours per semester
  • Data/material collection - 25 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The course aims to provide students with information in the field of road vehicle testing. Students are also acquainted with the technical and legislative regulations applied to the process of approving road vehicles.
After passing the subject students are able to orientate themselves to problems of vehicles testing. They have an overview of technical requirements and technical legislation (national, international) for road vehicles and vehicles approval procedures. They are familiar with main test methods and evaluation procedures, especially in the field of emissions, brakes, EMC, handling and stability.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of vehicles theory and construction, technical operation of vehicles, technical measurement and diagnostic methods is supposed.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination, Home assignment evaluation, Work-related product analysis, Discussion, Systematic monitoring

Tasks for self-study and practice are given by the teacher in consultations, possibly through the operative publication of materials in IS STAG. The inspection is carried out individually as part of a further consultation. The subject exam (oral and written) for part-time form of study is determined in accordance with the UPa Study and Examination Regulations. The credit confirms that the student has participated in the required level of teaching and that he/she has fulfilled the requirements (preparation of protocols from experimental measurements carried out in the exercises), which are conditional for the award of the credit. The conditions for the award of credit are determined by the instructor in the first week of the lecture period of the semester. The examination of the course (oral and written) for full-time and combined form of study is determined in accordance with the Study and Examination Regulations of UPa.
