Course content
Land communication: Documentation and instructions for land communication, basic terms. Basic nomenclature road, design speed, standard speed, category's width, est. Directional elements of route, directional line, horizontal curve, vertical alignment, sight distance. Railways: Transport and its relationship to the environment Railway transport and its basic definition, the railway network Management, ownership, and basic regulations in the field of railway construction in the Czech Republic Railway superstructure (railway track geometry parameters, superstructure part) Fundamental parts of the railway substructure and the railway substructure body Basics of railway lines routing, adjustments of stations and buildings for electrification Bridges: Types of bridges, physical planning of bridges objects, steel bridges, floor of steel bridge. Basic types of steel bridge girder systems, arch steel bridges, concrete beam bridge. Distribution of concrete bridges, stone bridges, brick bridges. Bridges from mass concrete and from prestressed concrete, slab bridges from steel concrete, beam bridges, frame bridges. Box-girder segmental beam bridges, arch bridges, suspension bridges, cable-stayed bridges, elements of the bridge, dilatation of abutment, head walls, repairs and reconstructions of concrete bridges, loading of bridges. Ground structures - tunnels. Airport.

Learning outcomes
The aim is to acquaint students with terminology and principles designing of land communication, railways, bridges, ground structures - tunnels, airport.
After graduation have students basic knowledge of terminology and principles designing of land communication, railways, bridges, ground structures - tunnels, airport.
Prerequisites
At least 70 % of attendance on tutorial. Active knowledge and experience of lectured themes.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination

Students have to hand in the semestral labour. Exam from object (form, content, continuation) is fixed term conformable with educational and examination order.
