Global tectonics, the rock cycle in nature. Magmatism - body deep venous volcanoes. Metamorphism. Sedimentology. Stratigraphy laws, geological age Structural geology - faults, folds. Seismics. Weathering, erosion. Surface water. Underground water. Slope deformation. Regional geology.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim is to teach students basic knowledge from geology and petrography disciplines.
After completing the course the student is able to identify and classify rock-forming minerals, igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary rocks, is able to work and focus on geological maps and charts. Students are able to work and orientate themselves in geology maps.

Written examination
The course credit confirms that the student has attended the lectures and met the all requirements determined by lecturer. Examination in the subject (form, content, duration) is determined in accordance with the Study and Examination Regulations.
