Learning outcomes
|
A main goal of this course is to deeply familiarize students with electronic systems in road vehicles, with their functions, development process, tools for development of said systems. Student can learn about: - functions, properties, integration and the most frequent failures of vehicle sensors. - functions and properties of modern communication buses used in vehicles. - modern electronic components and circuits in automotive area. - modeling of powertrain system, realization of on-board diagnosis. - modern tools for development of SW and HW in automotive area.
Student has knowledge of microprocessor and sensor technique and in construction and diagnostics of road vehicles. Especially in following areas: - functions, properties, integration and the most frequent failures of vehicle sensors. - functions and properties of modern communication buses used in vehicles. - modern electronic components and circuits in automotive area. - modeling of powertrain system, realization of on-board diagnosis. - modern tools for development of SW and HW in automotive area.

Prerequisites
|
It is assumed that student already has basic knowledge of electronics, control systems, microcontrollers programming and knowledge of electromechanical systems used in vehicles, C language programming.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral examination
Student has to prove his/her knowledge during semester (active participation at exercises) and in final exam. Teacher provides particular demands at the beginning of course.
