Course content
Introduction. Sources of electric power in vehicle - batteries, genrators, voltage regulators. Spark ignition engine - ignition systems. Spark ignition engine - mixtures formation, air flow, fuel flow, injection systems, sensors , actuators. Diesel engine - mixtures formation, air flow, fuel flow, diesel electronic control, injection systems (PD, CR). Aftertreatment systems. Diagnosis systems, fault finding. Vehicle buses.

Learning outcomes
The aim of subject is to acquaint students with electronic and mechatronic systems used in road vehicles.
After graduation subject student regaining knowledge in the area electric and electronic arrangement road vehicles.
Prerequisites
Student already has a basic knowledge of electronics.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination

Student has to prove his/her knowledge during semester (active participation at exercises) and in final exam. Teacher provides particular demands at the beginning of course.
