Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Demonstration
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course lies in the deepening of student's knowledge about electrical power engineering, especially about power supply, traction power consumption nature, railway substations and catenary systems for mainlines and city public transportation including details of power supply system design for railways.
After passing out this course the student is able to orientate himself in the field of electrical power transport engineering and in power system of electrified railways.
Prerequisites
It is assumed that the student is familiar with basic knowledge about electrical engineering and electronics.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Written examination

The student meets during the winter half familiarity with power supply system of electrified railways, with basic laws and particularities in the field of all power supply topics.
