Course content
|
The development of monetary theories. The monetary theory, the money market, the effectiveness of the monetary policy transmission mechanism, and their impact on business processes. The monetary policy and financial crisis, their impact on business processes. The monetary union, the optimal monetary area, and connections with decision-making processes in the company. The theory of interest rate determination, influence on investment decisions of a company. The specific financial market institutions and their relationship to corporate finance. The specific types of banking, trends in banking. The non-bank financial intermediaries and alternative business financing options. The selected relationships between real financial and economic variables.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to provide students with the information necessary to understand the real context of selected areas of finance and business processes.
The student will be able to assess the impact of monetary policy decisions and selected areas of banking on real business processes.

Basic knowledge of monetary policy and banking.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral examination, Home assignment evaluation, Presentation
Elaboration and presentation of the selected problem, taking into account the focus of the dissertation, in the form of a scientific paper. Oral examination within the scope of knowledge of the subject.
