Learning outcomes
The aim is to introduce students to the basic principles of signal transmission and the technical means used for these purposes in specific communication systems. Emphasis is placed on the characteristics and structure of telecommunication networks and channels, the characteristics and structure of the radio transmission channel in particular, types of analogue and discrete harmonic carrier wave modulations, their properties and the implementation of modulators and demodulators.
Knowledge and application of the principles of signal transmission using technical equipment in communication systems, especially in radio technology. Knowledge of the principles of analogue and discrete harmonic carrier wave modulation.
Prerequisites
Prerequisites for successful completion of the course are basic knowledge of data transmission and measurement of electrical quantities.

Assessment methods and criteria
