The aim of the course is to develop a year-long project, which is usually related to the topic of the student's final thesis. The main aim of the course is to introduce students to the subject: - Independent analysis of the problem to be solved, proposal of a solution; evaluation of the chosen solution and its comparison with other available solutions; work with information sources; preparation of a technical report. - Completion of an internship of at least two weeks. Completion of the internship is documented by a certificate from the contractor or another employer and a report prepared by the student. Contractual partners are disclosed to students in advance. The internship can be completed from the second year of study and the internship certificate can be presented for credit. The rules for the completion of the internship are governed by the methodology for students, and its assessment is governed by the methodology for the internship supervisor (the teacher of the Year Project course). The content of the internship is professional in the field of information and communication technologies, in accordance with the objectives of the study programme. Non-technical activities cannot be recognised as practice. In case the student is employed or has a trade license in the field, he/she does not have to do the internship.
By completing the course, the student will demonstrate that he/she is able to independently process the assigned topic of the year-long project with respect to the requirements set for technical documentation.
