Learning outcomes
The course deals with digital processing of acoustic signals. The first part of course is aimed at signal analysis and digital processing techniques. The course includes speech processing, acoustic signal recording, speech recognition and systems for sound source azimuth and position determination. In the practical part, students will work on two semester projects in Matlab environment.
Acoustic signal processing, overview of acoustic systems for speech processing and localization.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of Matlab environment, principles of digital signal processing
Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Home assignment evaluation
Attendance at seminars, laboratory and PC excercises. Students solve two projects during semester. Course is finished by oral exam, student must respond to questions from predefined set of topics.
