Course content
1. Form of professional texts (bachelor's theses, final reports, laboratory protocols, etc.) 2. Creation of a plan and content for writing a professional text 3. Preparation of materials, research, use of information sources (IEEE Xplore, Knovel, ?.) 4. Creation of graphs, tables and other graphic elements and their placement in the professional text 5. Citation of various information sources 6. Forms of presentation 7. Student presentation I. 8. Student presentation II.

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming)

Learning outcomes
The bachelor's seminar introduces students to the writing of professional texts according to general standards and to the requirements for final theses according to the internal guidelines of the University of Pardubice. Students are also introduced to the issue of citing various information sources. The seminar includes the creation of a presentation corresponding to the topic of the bachelor thesis.
After completing the course, the student is able to prepare a bachelor thesis, use professionally related technical documents, search and process the necessary information for the assigned work. Furthermore, the student is able to present his/her work using a presentation in order to defend the results achieved.
Prerequisites
Mastery of logical thinking and the ability to express oneself in both written and spoken speech is assumed.

During the semester, the student must understand the requirements for the bachelor's thesis, its content and formal arrangement. The specific requirements will be communicated to the students by the teacher in the first week of the semester.
