Course content
|
1. Binding legislation in electrical engineering. General legislation and safety regulations for operating and working on electrical equipment. Qualifications in electrical engineering. 2. Types of distribution networks. Classification of equipment by voltage. Colour coding of conductors. Classification of electrical equipment - protection classes, protective measures. 3. Protection against dangerous contact of live parts; protection by insulation, protection by covers and obstacles, protection by barrier, position. Protection against dangerous contact of inanimate parts; protection by automatic disconnection from the source. Supplementary protection - current protector, supplementary coupling. 4. Electrical wiring in normal, hazardous and particularly hazardous environments. Electrical wiring of single-purpose equipment and in special buildings. Revision of electrical equipment - hand tools, electrical appliances, installations. 5. Human body and electric current, causes of accidents in electrical engineering. Effects of direct and alternating currents, first aid, life-saving actions. 6. Comments on test questions including reference to technical standards, final test in the form of a multiple choice questionnaire and oral interview.

Learning outcomes
|
Main objective of course is to basic knowledge of safety manipulation with electric devices. Content of course is aimed to explanation of valid regulations and law for reserved technical devices. Major part of course contains comments, explanations and analysis of technical standards in electrotechnics. Last but not least part of course is application of first aid. Course is succesfully finished after passing test and oral exam, what could lead to qualification according to law no. 250/2021 Sb.
After completing the course, the student is familiar with the regulations for work on electrical equipment, knows how to behave when working with dedicated electrical technical equipment and is able to prepare for the examination according to Act No. 250/2021 Coll. and Government Regulation 194/2022 Coll.

Prerequisites
|
Student is expected to have knowledge of basics od electrotechnics.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Discussion, Questionnaire
Attendance on lectures is recommended and final exam (test and possibly oral exam) is mandatory to successfull end of course.
