Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Skills training, Laboratory work
  • Preparation for laboratory work and processing of results - 16 hours per semester
  • Participation in classes - 52 hours per semester
  • Contact teaching - 52 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The subject is introduction to the theory of the measurement of the electrical and nonelectrical characteristics (current, voltage, phase, ...), characteristics of the measurements (errors, classes of precision, accuracy and precision of the measurements, ...) Students will be introduced to principles of the measurement devices, their characteristics and how to connect them to the circuits. Students will be introduced to the methods how to measure the characteristics. Important part of the curse are the practical lessons, where the students will get the skills how to control the devices for the measurements , how to prepare the work stations and how to interpret the obtained results.
Student will get the following skills, prepairing of the circuit for the measurement of the electrical characteristics and measure the elementary electrical characteristics (current, voltage, ...), student will be able to interpret the measured results, identify the errors and suppress the errors influence on the measurement. Student will be able to measure of teh electronic particles characteristics, work with the devices in the laboratories and know the principles of these devices.
Prerequisites
The prerequisite for the completing of the course is the ability of the analytical thinking and the basic awareness of the electrical circuits.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination

Credit requirements: Student must attend the exercises and submit the protocols from the practical lessons. Exam requirements: The subject exam is written and oral (2 questions from the question list based on the theoretical lessons). In the case of distance learning, lessons will be tought trough MS Teams. Lessons will be at the time shown in the timetable. MS Teams is equivalent to participation and or attendens in lectures and excersises.
