Course content
Students choose a topic covering a selected issue discussed during their studies. In the case of a topic assigned from practice, a faculty consultant is assigned. The thesis topic includes the aim, requirements, guidelines for preparation and basic literature. The student consults continuously and continues to work independently as directed by the thesis advisor or consultant.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to demonstrate the ability to work independently on an assigned task in the field of communication or radar systems, to prepare and submit a diploma thesis (DP) under the guidance of the supervisor. The course includes support for creative work of students using individual consultations with the supervisor of the DP, conducting research activities, signal and data processing, experimental activities and possibly, according to the assignment of the DP, a part aimed at the creation of software or hardware that is necessary to achieve the objectives of the DP. The student demonstrates the ability to work with the literature, systematically classify and use information, and produce a technical document that meets the formal requirements for editing a thesis. The student is able to describe the problem to be solved, select appropriate methods of solution, describe and justify the solution procedure. The student can use the necessary instrumentation and software, design the necessary experiments, carry them out and evaluate the measured results. Is able to describe the solution procedure and the results obtained in the form of a technical report. The diploma thesis verifies the knowledge acquired by the student during the studies and the ability to apply this knowledge in a creative way in the elaboration of the assigned topic using the available literature.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Home assignment evaluation, Presentation

The student receives credit based on a positive review of the diploma's thesis. Based on the review of the bachelor's thesis, the student will receive a proposal for evaluation. This evaluation may change during the defense of the thesis.
