Course content
1. Creating a plan and content for writing an academic text 2. Form of academic texts, Tables, Equation 3. Preparation of materials, recherche, use of information sources (IEEE Xplore, Knovel,?.) 4. Creation of graphs, tables and other graphic elements and their placement in the academic text 5. Citations of various information sources 6. Presentation forms 7. Presentation of students I. 8. Presentation of students II.

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming)
  • Preparation for a credit (assessment) - 60 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The thesis tutorial will acquaint students with the writing of a professional text according to general standards and with the requirements for final theses according to the internal guidelines of the University of Pardubice. Students will be further acquainted with the issue of citations of various information sources. Part of the seminar will be the creation of a presentation related to the topic of the thesis.
After completing the course, the student is able to process a thesis, some selected technical documents, search and process the necessary information for the assigned work. Furthermore, the student is able to present their work in the form of a suitable presentation with respect to the assignment and purpose.
Prerequisites
Mastery of logical thinking and the ability to express oneself in both written and spoken speech is assumed.

During the semester, the student must understand the requirements for the thesis, its content and formal arrangement. The specific requirements will be communicated to the students by the teacher in the first week of the semester.
