Course content
The structure of the mass at microscopic and macroscopic scale level will be discussed with respect to varied kinds of energy evaluation and transformation to the useful forms. The energy transformation will be analysed from physical, chemical and biochemical points of view.

Learning outcomes
Aim of this course is to present primarily the possibilities of evaluation of energy from the mass and its transformation to the useful forms as work and heat.
Basic knowledge of physics, mathematics and chemistry on the bachelor´s degree level and knowledge of physical chemistry from the course of Physical chemistry II.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of physics, mathematics and chemistry on the bachelor´s degree level and knowledge of physical chemistry from the course of Physical chemistry II.

Assessment methods and criteria
Discussion

Exam is oral. Basic form of exam is discussion of choice topics. Knowledge, conceptions and application skills are examined. Knowledge is check up by solution of theoretical and numerical problems during semester.
