Kant's renewal of metaphysics as a science Copernican turn in philosophy The problem of the synthetic apriori judgement The foundations of Kant's theory of intuition The foundations of Kant's theory of thinking

Learning outcomes
Introduction to Kant's philosophy will be devoted to Kant's Critique of Pure Reason. The aim is to introduce the student to the modern metaphysics. Other topics will include the theory of intuition and the foundations of the theory of judgement.
Student will be able to study and to interpret a philosophical text. He/she will aquire the basic knowledge in the realm of modern metaphysics.

Oral examination, Student performance assessment

Regular and active participation at the lectures and seminars, comprehension of the subject. Knowledge of the assigned primary text and secondary literature.
