The course has two basic aims. Primary: To develop an ability to properly understand complicated philosophical texts in English. Secondary: To familiarize students with the form of contemporary philosophy by studying the most widely read living philosopher in the world. It's required that students come to class (a) having done the reading (b) prepared to contribute to discussion on it. Students are required to bring to the class (a) the reading (b) the summaries, both printed out. Students who bring readings or summaries only on their phones will not get points for the seminar. (Computers allowed but not recommended).
Seminář učí studenty aplikovat, osvojovat si a prohlubovat znalosti anglického jazyka při interpretaci vybraných filosofických textů v angličtině. |
