Course content
The course offers an introduction to Greek as the language of philosophy. Students will learn the basics of ancient Greek grammar (with an emphasis on noun declension) and basic philosophy-related vocabulary. Individual linguistic phenomena and concepts will be illustrated with examples from ancient philosophical writings. The course will also include an overview of tools for working with Greek sources.

Learning outcomes
The course focuses on acquiring the basics of the Greek language and elementary vocabulary to such an extent that students will subsequently be able to recognize key concepts in philosophical texts and work with them further.
The objective of the course is to provide students of philosophy with the basic knowledge that would enable them to work with original texts (Greek script, basic grammar, vocabulary and so on).
