Course content
Ancient Greece and Rome Revived. Giotto. Early renaissance in Italy. Brunelleschi, Masaccio, Donatello. Italian high renaissance: Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael. Transalpine renaissance. Mannierism and baroque painting in Italy. Italian baroque sculpture and architecture. Bernini. Survey of transalpine baroque art. Dutch and Flemish baroque painting. Rococo. Origins and aspects of neoclassicism.

Subject objectives consist in gaining essential knowledge of History of European art considered inevitable for activity of an art restorer / conserver.
