Course content
Ancient Greece and Rome Revived. Giotto. Early renaissance in Italy. Brunelleschi, Masaccio, Donatello. Italian high renaissance: Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael. Transalpine renaissance. Mannierism and baroque painting in Italy. Italian baroque sculpture and architecture. Bernini. Survey of transalpine baroque art. Dutch and Flemish baroque painting. Rococo. Origins and aspects of neoclassicism.
