Course content
Errors in numerical calculations. Principles of iterations. Methods of solving of systems of linear equations and nonlinear algebraic equations. Approximation and interpolation of functions. The method of least squares. Numerical integration and differentiation. Numerical solution of ordinary differential equations. Eigenvalues and vectors of matrices. Evaluation of experimental data.

Learning outcomes
The aim of this course is to familiarize students with basic numerical methods and their practical applications in Matlab.
