Course content
Recapitulation CCNA1 and CCNA2. Factors affecting the performance of LANs, advantages of LAN segmentation, segmentation LAN. Congestion problem in Ethernet networks, the differences between network segmentation using bridges, switches and routers. Switching 2nd and 3 layer mikrosegmentation, symmetric and asymmetric switching, switching methods, the difference between switching method of continuous processing (cut-through) and the method přesílání (store-and-forward). The problem of loops in the network, Spanning Tree Protocol and its benefits. Configuring load distribution. Virtual LANs, advantages of using virtual LANs, the implementation of virtual LANs with Cisco switches. Distribution to multiple VLAN switches, stalk, configuring routers for routing between VLANs. LAN design methodology, critical components, functions and location of servers, intranet, design topology 1st layer, the characteristics and benefits of Fast Ethernet technology, rules and distance limitations. 2nd Draft and 3 layer. Access lists (ACL) and their use of standard configuration of access control lists for IP traffic. Configure extended access lists for IP filtering, monitoring and verification of selected transactions with access lists in routers. Network management, necessary documentation, security aspects, performance aspects, the methodology for troubleshooting.

Learning outcomes
Advanced course based on Cisco Networking Academy CCNA3 curricula. An emphasis will be placed on the switching and Cisco switch configuration. Students have an opportunity to gain advanced skills in the CNA lab. To continue in Computer Networks IV students should successfully pass the CCNA3 class.
Students gain both the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field, allowing to hold the corresponding function (network administration, network installation). You also get the necessary language skills, enabling further training in the field without language barriers.

Given assignment confirms that a student has attended lessons to the extent required and fulfilled qualified requirements. Conditions for credit are: active work at labs, min. 80% presence, passing the CNA (Cisco Networking Academy) CCNA3 class.
