Using editor Word. Basic typography and formatting documents. Styles and templates. Margins and page setup, sections. Tables. Using fields. Working with graphics and charts. Cross-references, captions, and bookmarks. Tables of contents, index, and tables of figures. Equation editor. Mail merge. Sharing information with other people. Using forms, form fields, document protection. Using spreadsheet Excel. Cells, formulas, functions. Working with workbook and worksheet. Circular reference. Validating cell entries. Charts and graphics. Using lists, filtering and sorting data. PivotTable and PivotChart reports. Analyzing data. Solver, what-if analysis, scenarios, statistical analysis tools. Forms, workbook and worksheet protection, data sharing. Macros.

Learning outcomes |
The main goal of the discipline is to familiarise students with the advanced methods of creating documents with text editor MS Word, and working and analyzing data with spreadsheet MS Excel.
After finishing this course student knows most of features of text editor Microsoft Word and spreadsheet Microsoft Excel in addition to programming in Visual Basic language. |
