Course content
The basic principles of web page design in language HTML. Language HTML, advantages of using. Advanced HTML elements - lists, images, image maps, hyperlinks. Tables. Basics of Cascading Style Sheets. External and internal cascading styles. Cascading Style Sheets. Possibilities of settings of the design of web pages. Building of dynamic web pages by the help of Javascript. Building of forms in HTML. Attendance by the help of Javascript. Possibilities of Javascript - variables, conditions, loops, arrays, functions. Introduction to the PHP language, client-server communication. Inserting, processing and displaying PHP code. Possibilities of PHP - operators, variables, statements. Forms and their attendance by the help of PHP, transfer of variable values. Production and work with data files. Introduction to the SQL language. Using of MySQL database, database statements. Cooperation MySQL and PHP. Common use of HTML, Javascript, PHP and MySQL together. Webhosting.

Learning outcomes
The main goal of discipline is to improve the knowledge of students in the problems of web-technologies. Students will be acquainted with the HTML language, design static web pages and will learn about dynamic-content web page generation in languages Javascript (client-side scripting) and PHP (server-side scripting). Furthermore, they will learn to install, configure and use http server Apache with the support of PHP language and MySQL database.
After finishing this course students will be able to design and realize static web pages, use current standards as well as dynamic technologies like Javascript (client side) and PHP with MySQL (server side).

Written examination, Creative work analysis

Given classified accreditation confirms that a student attended lessons to the extent required and fulfilled qualified requirements. Conditions for credit are: active work at exercises, evaluated project, and final written examination. Form, contents and length of the final written examination are determined in accordance with Study and Examining Rules of University of Pardubice. Student passes successfully the written test if he/she obtains at minimum 50 % of possible points.
