Course plan and organization. Computer room software. Interface and operation of the Windows operating system. Entry knowledge test. Artificial intelligence tools. Generative AI, basic concepts and principles. Text processor. Principles of creating a text document. Working in MS Word. Rules of computer typography. Rules of bibliographic citations. Spreadsheets. Possibilities of use. Working in MS Excel. Tables and charts in MS Excel, functions and formulas. Computer graphics. Taking, managing and publishing photographs. Vector graphics, design and implementation of graphic elements. Animation. Multimedia. Data processing and visualisation in Power BI. Rules for creating presentations. Working in PowerPoint and Prezi. Evaluation of term papers. Awarding of credit.

- Handle document processing using MS Word - Learn the basic rules of computer typography and bibliographic citations - Master the basics of MS Excel spreadsheet - Learn how to take, edit, manage, and publish photos. - Work with vector graphic editor when creating graphic items - Get an overview of PC hardware and software - Learn how to use selected AI tools - Understand data processing and visualization in the Power BI environment
After finishing the course students have an overview of technical and hardware and software of PCs and of possibilities of its use. Students are able to use the MS Windows operating system, work commonly with a text and a graphics editor and with a spreadsheet processor. Manage to process and visualize the data.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Home assignment evaluation, Presentation
Given assignment confirms that a student has attended lessons to the extent required and fulfilled qualified requirements. Conditions for credit are: active work at exercises, min. 75% presence.
