Course content
Principles of data processing. Integration and repetition of basic user skills. Work with the operating system. Work using a text editor: practice. Work using a spreadsheet: practice. Fundamentals of biomedical statistics, table and graph creation basics. Creating presentations. Searching the Internet, using electronic libraries and databases, Medline: practice. Using anti-virus software, practical safety applications, e-mail. The use of health systems I.: practice.

Learning outcomes
The aim is to consolidate, revise, and develop computer skills in a wide range of possibilities for computer use in health care practice.

Prerequisites
Students will be able to use, within the basic range, the Windows operating system, the office software MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and they understand health information systems from the user's point of view.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination, Student performance assessment

Completion of compulsory 80% attendance at the practicum sessions and seminars. Successful completion of a written test. Working out a written work.
