The enterprise and its goals, types of business, basic economic concepts. The essence of management and its structure. Organizational behaviour and organizational structure. Quality Management in health care. Personnel management in health care. Marketing of health services. The enterprise and economic objectives. The organization of hospitals and medical facilities. Quality Management. Personnel work.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to get knowledge of management and economy. To acquaint students with the nature and structure of management in terms of managerial functions and in terms of levels and objects of management with regard to the specifics of health.
Student knows the issues of organization of medical facilities, marketing of medical services, personnel management, management of hospital information systems, quality management in health care. Student will be able to perform a basic analysis of the financing and evaluation of health care systems.

The fulfilment of compulsory attendance at lectures and seminars. Written test or oral exam fulfilment according to course guarantor decision.
