The enterprise and its objectives, types of enterprise, basic economic concepts. The essence of management and its structure. Organizational behavioural and organizational structure. Management of quality in health care. Personnel management. Marketing of health services. The enterprise and its economic objectives. Organization of hospitals and healthcare facilities. Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the subject is to gain knowledge of management and economics: to become familiar with the nature and structure of management in terms of managerial functions and in terms of levels and subjects of management while taking into account the specifics of health care.
Students know the issue of organization of healthcare facilities, marketing of health services, personnel management, managerial hospital information systems, and management of quality in health care. They will be able to perform a basic analysis of financing and evaluation of health care systems. They will become familiar with business economics, which tracks mutual economic relations and connections in a given facility as well as its surroundings and provides practical guidelines for real activities. They will be able to use this knowledge, give reasons for its use, and defend it.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral examination, Home assignment evaluation
Completion of compulsory 85% attendance at the practicum sessions. Successful completion of a written examination.
