Course content
Introduction into the subject, strategies and management in health care. Management tools. Key economic terms for management. Financial aspects of health care. Management a leadership. Personnel management. Process management and process analysis. Change and change management. Structural and procedural aspects of health care system and their impact on health care evaluation. Quality management and risks in health care facility. Marketing of a health care facility. Internal communication in an organization. Crisis management in health care. Strategic analysis, System environment of Czech health care. Processes of a health care facility. Personality of a manager. Managament communication and team cooperation. Project proposal and implementation of a marketing project in a particular working place.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject Management and economics in health care is to enable students to acquire basic knowledege and skills in the field of management and economics in the context of providing health care.
Students master components of management of a medium-size health staff (roles of ward nurses and head nurses), and also special fields of health care management such as controlling, quality management, management tools supporting efficient decision making and management.
