Course content
Introduction into computer-aided design - CAD systems, principles of graphics display. Introduction into AutoCAD - user's environment, working with files. System of coordinates, basics of drawing. Tool for exact terms of drawing, modes of object snap. Layer, function for control display. Editing grips, selection object, commands for modify, commands for draw. Change properties object, information about object, hatching. Text processing. Dimensioning, editing dimension, dimension style. Blocks, external reference. Three-dimensional drawing. Programming in AutoCAD.

Learning outcomes
Programme object: Acquaint student with theorems for production of technical documentation, especially in engineering and electrical engineering. Learn engineering drawing read and design. Master work with modern computerized programs for design and production of technical documentation. Subject object: Encompassment of servicing technique program AutoCAD as one of the instruments for production of technical documentation. Introduction into computer-aided design system, user's environment, setting programme, basic service, exchange data, system of coordinates, bases of drawing 2D objects, layers, drawing and editing tools, selection and editing object, blocks, hatching, attributes, text processing, dimensioning, model and paper space, printing, information about object, external reference.
After completing the course, students are capable of reading and creating technical documentation, separately to work with modern computerized programs for design and production of technical documentation.

Computerized practicum, Algorithm development, Introduction into language C.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Written examination, Discussion

Active interest in tutorials and 75% attendance. For credit, students must participate in tutorials and complete all seminar work by the designated date. Exam includes testing knowledge of production of technical documentation, reading and designing, drawing and encompassment, working with computerized programs for designing and production of technical documentation.
