Course content
Basic algorithm for working with graphic objects in graphics editor. Hardware and software for processing graphic. Draw programs, raster graphics programs, type programs. Means of interpretation of graphic on different output device. Representation of raster and vector picture. Languages for description pages. Formats of graphic data and their transmission. Color perception and specifications of colors. Color models. Processing publication in the area DTP. Workflow systems. Program Adobe Illustrator - basic operating. Drawing objects. Painting in drawing. Working with layer. Working with text. Program Adobe Photoshop - basic operating. Scanning original - edits scanning picture. Working with options. Masks and channels. Using layers. Retouching picture. Painting in picture.

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Skills training, Graphic and art activities
Learning outcomes
Demonstrate to students method of working in modern 2D graphics editor. Explain versatile spectrum activity and techniques used with processing graphic information from method of primary acquisition, through their successive edits, archiving, final prepress preparations up to the printing method.
After completion of the course, students are capable of working with modern 2D graphics editor, to work with graphic information in whole spectrum of activity and operation from primary acquisition, through their successive edits, archiving, final prepress preparations up to the method of printing.

Computerized practicum, Physics.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Written examination, Creative work analysis, Discussion

Active interest in tutorials and 75% attendance. For credit, students must participate in tutorials and complete all seminar work by the designated date (work in poster form from graphic program, which will be represented by vector and raster graphics). Exam includes testing knowledge of basic manipulation with vector and raster graphics and knowledge of technology prepress operation.
