Course content
Introduction to Management , definitions management Managers , managerial functions Profile Manager - principles and style of managerial work , self-control , time management corporate culture , business ethics , management and business planning - principles , structure plans , management plans by objectives Organizing - organizational form and structure , corporate governance Decision-making - decision-making processes , their structure and the types of decision problems of motivation , leadership , coordination Control - control systems , types of controls , audits and controlling Communication - internal communication with the outside Personnel Management - HR , selection, placement , compensation, employee assessment , career management exercise case studies focused on teamwork, case studies focused on corporate organization , coordination processes and the overall functioning of the company , conducting meetings , case studies focused on the personality of the manager and leadership , practicing presentation and discussion skills Preparing for a job interview , resume writing , basic knowledge of the Labour Code. Description of the objectives and content of lectures Introduction to Management / ZM 01 / The aim of the lecture is to define the basic concepts of management, its basic functions and methods. Explain the need for management in the context of the functioning of the organization - business , define the basics of business management and individual contexts influence in the area and functioning of corporate management . The lecture also contains an overview and description of the basic management functions Planning / ZM 02 / Lecture discusses the managerial activity planning as a basis for management and competitiveness of the company and its relationship to strategic management , as well as the preparation , structure and layout plans by objectives. Organizing / ZM 03 , 04 / Lecture defines the organization and the organization and emphasizes their importance for the effective functioning of the business . The lecture includes examples of organizational forms and structures , explains the basics of corporate governance . The lecture also deals with the importance of the terms competence , responsibility , competence , delegating and empowering , participation . Deciding / ZM 05 / The aim of the lecture is to explain the decision , as the base and one of the most important tasks of management, explain the structure and different types of decision-making , decision-making describe potential problems and errors in decisions and their possible consequences. The lecture also discusses the business risk. Keeping workers / ZM 06 , 07 / The aim of the lecture is to explain the principles of leadership skills , motivation and control workers as a set of specific management activities leading to the achievement of the objectives. Lecture includes control concepts , leadership , influence, coordination , motivation, people , teamwork . Human Resources / ZM 08 / aim of the lecture is to define the foundations of HR management. The lecture deals with the personal activities of the company. Includes HR planning, recruitment and selection , recruitment, training , compensation , labor relations .

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the problems of management in general from the perspective of businesses, focusing on basic management functions and concepts. In this course, students will also learn about case studies.
Student will gain the basic information within the field of management and practical communication skills.
Prerequisites
Student should have an essential knowledge of economical values within the company´s business.

Assessment methods and criteria
Home assignment evaluation

Students at the first practice will bring short essay (about 10 lines) on the theme "what I expect from this course - why I want to study the subject." Students in the first exercise presents selected topic. The course is completed based on the classification of term paper. 80% attendance at seminars. term work The topic of term paper is uniform for students, and to: "Your vision of the future work in the context of the functioning of the selected company." In the formation of the organizational structure of selected companies mark their own managerial position and briefly describe the various elements of your business: description of company activities, legal status, organizational structure, job description, prerequisites for the implementation of the selected function, responsibilities and competences, coordination processes within the department and throughout the company, motivation and evaluation of staff basic requirements for the operation of the selected company and the requirements of your future manager - manager. Term work must be of at least four A4 pages in the proper format. Term work must be submitted by the end of the semester.
