Course content
|
Health and illness, case history. Subjective and objective symptoms. Fundamentals of physical examination. Examination methods, radiodiagnostics, ultrasound examinations, radionuclide examination methods, electrographic methods, endoscopic examination methods. Functional examination of the heart and lungs, the digestive system, and the kidneys, endocrinological examination.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to master basic clinical terminology from the field of internal medicine and examination methods.
The student knows basic clinical terms and the most common clinical symptoms and examination methods. He/she will be able to prepare and educate the patient before an examination and to care for him/her after an examination. The student uses knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and nursing.

Written examination
Completion of compulsory 80% attendance at the practicum sessions and seminars. Successful completion of a written test.
