Course content
|
Health and illness, medical history. Subjective and objective symptoms. Basics of physical examination. Examination methods, radiodiagnosis, ultrasound examination, radionuclide examination methods, electrographic methods, endoscopic examination methods. Functional examination of the heart and lungs, digestive system, kidneys, endocrinological examination. Monitoring and measurement of physiological functions. Patient preparation for radiodiagnostic examinations and patient care after the procedure. Electrographic examination methods. Endoscopic examination methods, preparation and care of patients. Functional examination, patient preparation, procedures.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to master basic clinical terminology from the field of internal medicine and examination methods.
The student knows basic clinical terms and the most common clinical symptoms and examination methods. He/she will be able to prepare and educate the patient before an examination and to care for him/her after an examination. The student uses knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and nursing.

Didactic test
Completion of compulsory 80% attendance at the practicum sessions. Successful completion of a written test.
