Course content
The concept of management and its structure. Organisational behaviour and organisational structure. Personnel management in healthcare. Quality management in healthcare. Marketing of health services. Techniques of strategic analysis. Applying for a job, Labour Code. Labour market.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquire knowledge of management and economics: to acquaint students with the essence and structure of management in terms of managerial functions and in terms of levels and objects of management, considering the specifics of health care.
Students are familiar with the organization of health care facilities, marketing of health services, personnel management, hospital management information systems, and quality management in health care. Students are able to perform basic analysis of financing and evaluation of health care systems. Students become familiar with business economics, which looks at the economic interrelationships and contexts within and around a given facility and provides practical guidance to real-world activities. Students are able to apply this knowledge, justify and defend its use.

Didactic test

50 % compulsory attendance in lectures. 50 % compulsory attendance in seminars. Passing a written test.
