|
Aims and concepts of health policy. World Health Organization, its goals, tasks and importance. General theory of the system, health care system, healthcare as a system. Healthcare systems in Europe and in the world. The current situation in the Czech Republic - state authorities, health insurance companies, health care providers, health care recipients. Types and forms of health care in the Czech Republic. The system of healthcare facilities in the Czech Republic. Healthcare financing, payment methods for providers, including the DRG system. Health budget, taxes, salaries and rewards. Public health insurance, basic principles and rules.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to provide students with information about the principle of functioning of the health care systems in selected countries of the European Union and in the world and to describe the current situation in the Czech Republic.
Students know the general nature of the system and they understand the health care system. They can assess and compare differences among various health care systems in the world. Based on critical analysis, evaluation and synthesis, students are familiar with the current situation in the health care system in the Czech Republic, including applicable legislation related to the issue.

Fulfillment of mandatory prescribed attendance at lectures. Passing a written test.
