Surgical examination of a patient. Diagnostic and examination procedures in abdominal surgery. Diagnostic and examination procedures in thoracic surgery. Diagnostic and examination procedures in traumatology and neurosurgery. Diagnostic and examination procedures in vascular surgery. Diagnostic and examination procedures in children's surgery. The teaching of wounds and injuries. Surgical intervention. Tactics and techniques in surgery. Postoperative care. Postoperative complications. Shocks. Fundamentals of surgical oncology. Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the field of surgery and to prepare them for further systematic study of surgery and traumatology.
The student gains a global view of the field, knows the principles of techniques and procedures used in surgery, and is able to use basic diagnostic and examination methods in surgery.
